Kless Thomas Therving
Named after his father Thomas Therving, Kless was born on a farm small farm on the outskirts of the City of Bal'azaar. All his father knew was work and drink. When he wasn't out working on his fields or tending to the animals he was at the local pub drinking. However, Thomas knew he had responsibilities as a father and a husband so he helped out his family as best as he could. He knew that Kless would one day have to tend the farm so he taught him how to work the fields and thend the animals.
When Kless was little his first job was to feed the animals. Him and his sister, born two years after, used to drop seeds for the chickens, and throw carrots at the pigs. When Kless was old enough to work the fields his father began teaching him. He mainly worked on the wheat fields but he loved picking carrots and potatoes, there was just something about working with in the farm that Kless really liked.
One of Kless' favorite memories is when he first learned to ride pigs. At first the pig refused the saddle, but after they taunted it with a carrot it went where they wanted it to go. When Kless turned 12 his father gave him a bow. He never had time to actually show him how to use it so he had to learn by himself. This became his form of fun. Whenever Kless wasn't working he would practice with his bow.
Eventually he became very good at archery. He could hit a target from great distances even if that target was moving. Sometimes he and his sister would go on camping trips where they would only eat game that he hunted. Kless and his sister Jenny, were very close. Kless being the oldes had to teach Jenny how to survive off the wild and hot to fend for herself.
When Kless was 18 his mother became very ill. Unable to care for her and for the farm his father had no option but to leave his wife's health on Kless' hands. He would find himself going on many trips to the center of town, where he would fetch medicine and items to care for his mother. Kless' mother, Gittle, died when he 19. His mother was the only connection that Kless and his sister had to their father, so they became very distant.
On Kless' 21st birthday he left the farm. Certain that his sister was now old enough to protect herself, he left her there. His only concern was his father. He was never the same after his wife died and began working less and less.
Looking for a new life, Kless set out with his bow and arrows and the little possessions he had. He knew that in order for him to be successful he had to go to a city. Bal'azaar was way too small for him so he set out in the search for a new one. With dreams of one day becoming a soldier using his great archery skills, he continued on with his journey to see what awaited him at the other end of the road.
