My name be Thir Silverhand. I was born a mechamancer's son, and was practically raised in his workshop. No mother; I was adopted, and I hath no idea whom me parents were. I never much cared, either. The whirring of gears and cogs was all the comforting I needed as a lad.
Me father raised me humble and hard-working. I was never exceedingly popular as a lad, but I didn't mind. I suppose I never felt the need for much company, besides me close friends, my father, and me automatons.
Havin' never known me mother, I can't say anything about her or how she lived. Me father, however, was always around. He was known as a great technician, and invented many a machine and trap. He was well built, with a fine beard and brawny arms. His skin was a radiant bronze from his time spent in the forge. Perhaps my fondest memory of him be that he was always happy, but still serious about his work. I admire him greatly.
I have no siblings that I be knowin' about, and I doubt it matters anyway, seeing as even if they do exist, I've never met 'em.
I hath much experience in both the forge and the crafting table, having been raised a mechamancer's son an' all. However, when *pause* when me father died, of reasons I'd rather not chat about, my clan wouldn't let me take his place, seeings as I were born an outsider. Thus I set out for work and home and ended up in Woodshire...
I spend me spare time tinkering with automatons and traps, or at the pub getting drunk and 'avin a laugh with me mates.
If faced with battle I would always stand an' fight. *puffs out chest just a tad* as me father said, "a strong dwarf dies on his feet." Never, ever run away. It's disgraceful.
Am I allergic to anything? *blushes a bit* well, I've always sneezed a bit around pollen in the spring and fall, but nothin' too serious.
(when asked if light or heavy drinker) *snorts* Ha! Heavy, of course! Is there any other way to drink? Speakin' of which, ya care for some mead? *heads off and fetches many large froth-spilling-over-the-edges mugs and sloshes them down on the table with a clunk. he then proceeds to down one in a few gulps, the sugary brew dripping down his long beard*
I would never dream of committing a crime, especially against me clan... *under his breath* even if the bastards DID abandon me... ah well, I'd much rather live in a lively town than in some dank cave.
I take after me father; strong build, long beard, steady hands... *chuckles* however, I'm quite a bit paler than he. More time with automatons, less time with bellows.
