Hail to you! Intrepid drinker! And welcome a in depth guide to the most tasteful and hearty beverages throughout the realm.

My name is Balagix Meadhand and my family ha
s had a tavern the in heart of Bul Fo Nax for generations; filled with tender meats, warm fires and of course fine ales and mead!

This here guide with walk you through the most well know drinks of our time, as tasted and rated by me! (I’ve had enough experience you see) we will walk from strong ales and sweet meads to even fancy elven wines and spirits.

Firstly I’d like to introduce myself some more, I am currently the patron and tavern keeper of the brass axe inn here in Bul Fo Nax and have travelled throughout the land seeking the most tasty and deep drink I could to bring back for my local patrons; In my travels I recorded a diary to put in writing the splendours I had found.

So let’s begin with a favourite… Meads; now meads are a type of ale brewed using the honey from multiple sources such as bees, lavender or even some flowers! The different honeys make a different taste and believe me when I say I have tried them all. With mead you get a good honest and sound buy, with a strong punch and a sweet aftertaste you know you have a warm pint in your gut to last you on them cold nights on watch or in the field.

Next is Ale, another firm favourite and for good reason! This hearty of drinks can come in much strength and can truly test its drinker; from the softer paler ales in the human cities to the strong and bitter brews of the Orcish settlement used for war games! This old classic has a long history and has satisfied many a king or two in its service.

Wine, now wines get a bad reputation for being pegged as a fruity womanly drink HA! You should try the fire pit wine in some of the fishing ports of the east coast! That stuff can damn near make your beard drop off; with wine comes the widest amount of brands… from soft fruity brews inspired by the elven forest, to gritty stout ones with many a spice to tingle any tongue.

Now lastly are spirits, these small but dangerous gits are the toughest here ranging from pungent shots of dark liquids to the poison infused hunting boosts! With all sorts of exotic ingredients involved in these liquors it’s amazing anyone can even ingest them. These deadly concoctions have left me high dry and confused as I laid on a 30 foot jungle tree without my axe! Thankfully I had some help from a lovely band of elven hunters who seemed to use to this sort of stuff.

And there’s my alcoholic guide my friends! But before I leave you let me give you some more sound advice in regards to the consumption of these tasty drinks.

Always have a good strong companion with you on these adventures, as it could go sour at any time and you need a brawling buddy!

Always button you belt at least 2 holes tighter than normal as you could lose you trousers and so your axe, that’s just not smart…

And lastly keep you mead in one hand and your wenches in the other, trying to kiss your flagon and drink your wench just seems to upset everyone, and is a mood killer!

So that’s it, good luck and put this guide in practice!!!

Ah my friend, you have forgotten about brandy and winter wine.

Brandy is made by further distilling wine, when you take the first sip, its sweet taste floods your mouth, and when you swallow it, it burns its way down your throat, and spreads warmth through your body. Elven brandy tastes of fresh grapes, humans more of fresh bread. A good dwarven brandy faintly of iron, and orcen brandy of apples.

Winter wine is wine that has been frozen, and then had all the water in it removed.
winter wine will taste of whatever wine it was made from, but packs enough punch to fell a troll. Rare is the man, that can take a swig of winter wine and stay on his feet.

I didnt list them because of the shear amount on offer, just a few of them.

Same as a spell book lists few spells only the ones concerned for the student at the time.
