Borsuk BattleBlood is current 25 years of age, his life has been filled with a unique series of events that lead to mold the person he is today.
Borsuk, being an orc, had just reached the age when his father would take him out to make him into a warrior. They had been out for hours and happened upon a group of elves walking through the forest. Borsuk's father, Urukin, urged him to go forth but Borsuk was hesitant. Urukin rushed forth. The Elves spotted him too soon and unleashed a hail of arrows. Borsuk ran to aid his father. Young Borsuk spotted an arrow that would make contact with his father and dove in front of it. The arrow sliced down his back, cutting deep but not touching bone. Borsuk looked up from the ground to see his father on his knees with an arrow lodged in his skull. Borsuk passed out from the trauma.
Borsuk lay there for two days before a group of traveling monks came across him. They picked him up and tended to his wound. They took him to the nearest Temple of their order. When Borsuk awoke he found himself in an unfamiliar place, wrapped in cloth and wracked with pain. He jumped up from the bed and grabbed a nearby bottle. A large armored human rushed into the room. Frightened Borsuk broke the bottle against the bed post and took a fighting stance. The Human drew his blade and to the young orc's shock laid it on the ground. Borsuk was confused and let his guard down. A man grabbed him from behind and restrained him long enough for the armored human to take the bottle. They gently set him down and tried to explain what had happened. Borsuk took the news lighter than they had assumed. Knowing that his father was now at the Eternal Battlefield, Borsuk saluted to the sky. The Paladins offered to take Borsuk in and teach him their ways. He accepted.
The other children couldn't stand Borsuk. He was too different for the other children to accept. In what seemed like a blink of an eye Borsuk was 13, the other children has grown accustomed to picking on him. The Priests had forbidden Borsuk from taking part in fights, fearing that he would revert to a more primal state and cause serious harm. One day the children had cornered him in the library where he spent most of his time. They began to beat him, trying his hardest not to fight back Borsuk opened his arms wide and allowed them to continue. A Paladin came over and broke up the fight. Borsuk stood up and walked out before the Paladin could ask if he was okay.
The Paladin pulled Borsuk from his other classes and put a blade in his hand. He spent 6 years teaching him nothing but combat. When Borsuk would try to ask why the Paladin would instead make him continue to practice.
Upon reaching the age of 20 Borsuk was finished with his training. He was offered the chance to become a full-fledged paladin, but he refused. He said these final words before taking his leave. "You have been nothing but kind to me, you have taught me the difference between wisdom and intelligence. I have learned the way of the Blade and the plight of the weak. I want to make a real difference in the world but I cannot forsake the honor of my Father. I will return one day to share with you my journey. But until then I must forge my own path."
