Graham Bellmaker's character bio

My name is Graham Bellmaker. I am a so called Dwarfling(human looking dwarf, see “The history of the Dwarflings”).
I was born in a small Dwarfing settlement in the western froest. Not much happened during my first years. I lived happy with my family and my people in our little settlement. Everything was like it had been in hundreds of years, not much had changed to the little farming settlement.
But everything changed one early morning in the middle of the winter when I just was 6 years old. My mother and my older brother were out trying to find one of our cows that have disappeared during the night. My father was out and chopped fire wood as the most men where this cold morning. The attack came from nowhere, orc with their sharp and slightly curved swords where everywhere. I was so scarred so I ran into my house and hide under our dinner table. I could hear the battle outside and closed my eyes and started to wait. I have no idea of how long I just sat there, at some point I think one or two orcs where inside our house looking for things to take.
After a long time my father stormed the house with his axe in his hand, both him and his axe was covered in orcish blood. He grabbed me and gave me a big hug. Later that day my uncle found two dead Dwarfling’s in the woods a few hundred meters from our settlement. My brother had tried to defend my mother with his hunting knife but had been hit several times in the chest with a orcish blade, he had no chance. And neither did my mother that had been hit by an arrow. That day our settlement lost half of its population. Dead body’s where lying everywhere, family’s where whipped out totally and everyone had lost someone of their loved ones.
Two weeks after the slaughter in our settlement we moved to Krimpswood, a Halfling village not too far away from my old home. Many years have gone now, and I have grown up to a man. My father died two years ago, weaken by a sickness created by the sadness. I followed my father’s footstep and took over his position in the Dwarfling council after he had died. I have got a quest from the council, to create a new village far away from Krimpswood.

Halflings aren't a playable race so you can't really do that, but what you can do to get a Human-like Dwarf is being either 1/4 or 1/2 Human which would give you some of their features while retaining the Dwarven stature.
